i was driving my van home when it started to overheat bad. I have antifreeze in it and it started overheating. The heater in my car wouldn't heat up either. I was wondering what could be wrong with my van. Oh yeah and the steam was coming from the radiator. Also i went to check the oil a couple days ago and seen that my van had an excessive amount of oil.Someone please help me figure out whats wrong

Well without looking at the vehicle its hard to tell exactly whats wrong. No heat and overheating with antifreeze in the system is usually a result of blown head gasket witch could be why your oil is over full. Also those 3.8 engines are bad to blow the upper intake gasket and loose coolant internally. the other option is the thermostat is stuck closed. Now i would say your cooling fans may not be working but the lack of heat usually doesnt occur with that. UNLESS the heater core is restricted.
NAPA sells a block test kit I sugest you buy one price here is 45 dollars you add the blue fluid to the line on the vial. start engine with radiator cap off and place the vial over the opening to the radiator squeeze the bulb 20-30 times slowly (careful not to suck up antifreeze) if it turns green or yellow then its detecting exhaust gasses in the cooling system witch should never mix unless you have internal engine damage or gasket failure.
Good luck and hope this helps
