My 1995 Chrysler Intrepid keeps stalling while its being driven. why?

i have a 1995 chrysler intrepid, (old i know) and sometimes it will die when im driving it. it will give no warning signs, the engine will shut off, and the wheel will lock. i have to guide it to the edge of the road, and start it again. luckily it has only happened in residential areas. could it be something im doing wrong or something wrong with the car? any ideas on what it could be, and how much it would cost to fix? thanks for your help its appreciated!

you might start with the battery connections, my sisters car did the same thing and the + battery terminal was the problem
