minutes what is wrong? i bought a 1990 ford bronco and it is leaking oil even when parked it just pours out and i have to put a quart of oil in it just to drive 5 minutes and it starts smoking like its going to catch on fire. the man i bought it from had a newer motor put in and replaced everything and has receipts to prove it. i know its not the head going cause i have been down that road before what could be the issue?

You gotta get under the hood or on the ground and figure out where the leak is coming from. Front of engine, rear of engine or from a valve cover.

Obviously you have a bad seal/gasket somewhere but until you narrow down the location it's impossible to tell you. My first guess is a rear main seal since it's hitting the exhaust and burning.

Maybe the radiator was punctured or something. I believe it is your coolant leaking out rather than the "oil". There are several possibilities to why this is happening, none of them are easy fixes. Even if there was an easier/cheaper way to fix it other than replacing the parts, it would only be temporary.

Just get gallons of water and pour it in and drive slowly until you reach an auto shop. You need to get that fixed before your car gets damaged even more. The more you over heat it, the more your engine gets hurt.
