...the brakes, no brake power? It's a 1989 Chrysler Labaron 2 Door Coupe and just recently the brakes stopped working I heard a hiss coming from the brake pedal and now the brake pedal sits on the floor pumping doesn't do anything except make it hisss some more, anybody have any ideas. If it helps the hissing goes as long as I have my foot on the brake pedal and stops as soon as I let up.
 
I'd look under the hood for a vacuum leak to the power brake booster.
If the booster looses its vacuum source, due to a break in the hose (or metal pipe), the brake pedal will go to the floor and the brakes will not work well, if at all.
Here's what you need to do....get someone to work the brake pedal while you look/listen under the hood....it should be easy to find the "leak." If you have a problem finding it (the leak) get a short piece of garden hose or plastic tubing and use it as an extension of your ear to find the leak source as your helper works the pedal.
