That could be a valve timing issue. Have you changed the timing belt? You may need to check to see if the timing belt has skipped a few splines.

my truck is very hard to start i have to pump the gas alot.once it starts and drives and i turn it off smoke comes from carb it has new plugs rotor cap and wires,what can be wrong
