I have a 1966 Dodge Charger with a 440 bored 30 over. It has a 870cfm Holley Street Avenger carb on it. Compression is about 10:1 and it is tuned to about 10 below top dead center (recommended by the engine builder). I am having some trouble at times when I try to really step on it. It seems like it isn't firing the best it could be and almost seems "bogged" down every now and then (some times are better than others it seems). I was wondering if anyone had any tips. Do I possibly need some high performance spark plugs? I upgraded the spark plug wires not too long ago so I think those are fine. Could it be the air to fuel ratio? I can try to adjust my floats on the carb...Not too sure where to start at this point. Any suggestions????
oh, I also run 93 octane which seems to be fine, no knocking or anything with it...
Thanks!
Erik
