He used to be so nice about it open his little mouth BUT NOT ANYMORE..Its like all hell breaks loose when Im tryin to accomplish this simple task. He has more teeth now at 16 months molars too, so I have to get in there pretty good to brush but he twists and turns its like WTF?! lol this is my first child. and i sing to him, I try to make him laugh and open up but its impossible. Only thing I have left to do is hold him down by the sink and brush his teeth that way..but he screams and kicks and yells. I feel like a bad mother holding him down and it upsets me but at the same time i dont want him to get cavities or whatever..any advice on how u get your kids to brush? he still cant do it himself obviosly but..how can i make this easier for him or make him understand that its necessary? ugh..help.
