my 150hp outboard mercury boat motor is taking many attemps to turn on?

my engine is a 1998 when i try to start it it would attempt to start but it would fail and make a booh sound it is not until like the 6 try that it will start. please help

Sounds like you have a dirty injector or a gummed up carb.
