My 11 week shih tzu puppy cries, barks and whines all night.?

We have had our puppy for 6 days now and he just keeps crying, whining and barking all night. We have put him in a bed in the kitchen with trying the door shut or stairgating it too but he doesnt stop. We tried 1 night in a crate but he was worse.

How can i solve this and should we crate him.
 
I think you picked the wrong dog, normally a dog doesnt do that kind of a thing...

Hmm take it back to its owners and ask for a full refund price, or pick out a different one.
