My 10 year old wants an iphone but my husbands think she is too young?

How can I explain to them that times are different and that kids expect these kid on things. Since we are a 3 income house hold we aren't short on money so I don't see why we shouldn't just get our daughter the phone?

What do you think?

Get her an inexpensive mp3 player instead. She is to young to need an iphone.
 
It's just a phone. I can't say whether or not you should get it. If it were me, though, I wouldn't want to spend that much on the phone unless I was starting up a new contract and got it for the $20-$50 contract price.
Also, you need to pay internet price monthly. There is a way to get around that. If you buy the phone gently used (not from the cell phone provider) then you can get the phone number switched over to the iphone without having all the extra fees when you get a new one from the provider.

an iphone at 10??? SERISOULY?!?!?!?! Comeon..lets think about this. You are entrusting a 10 year old with a 300 peice of equipment? I don't think so. I think she needs to be older before you give her something that exspensive. three income or not..thats STILL alot of money to spend, and even more to replace. When she can support herself, then get her one.

wow...i didn't even have a phone that you plug into the house when i was 10....
