I will be driving down the road at night and i have my high beams on and i want to turn them off so i pull the lever to do so and the little blue lamp shuts off on my dash saying that they are off when they really arnt. Even when i turn off the low beams the highs stay on, where when there wasnt this problem it would all shut off together. I have replaced the lever thing in the steering column so it isnt that and i have checked both fuses under the hood and they are fine.
The weird thing is that if i open up my hood and give a hit on the fuse box they WILL shut off. The problem was not so bad before i used to be able to pull back and forth on the lever in the steering column and it would give and shut off but now it wont shut off unless i hit the fuse box.
