My 05 Chevy SilveradoHD is displaying 'service brake system' on the dash.?

for the last month my chevy has been beeping 30 times and displaying 'service brake system' on the dash, every time I start it up.
Does anyone know why?
 
either your brakes need to be checked out or its a bad sensor. because i have a 2003 chevy 3500 and it did that same thing to me and i had the brakes checked and it still did it til they showed me how to disable it. good luck
