My 04 Pontiac Gran Prix will start up but then shut off right away, why is this?...

...spark plugs? The car will turn on but will shut off right away, all electrical components still stay on.

you mean as soon as you drop it in gear it will shut off ? i,am thinking it might be the lock-up converter sensor. that,s what happened on a grand-am once i worked on.

its not the spark plugs it wouldnt start at all if it was them take it to a shop and have a diagnostic test done it could be somthin simple
