Okay, so my 2001 dodge durango 4.7L V8 is making this clicking noise when the engine is running. It started after it was running on the freeway with no oil. When the engine starts the clicking starts, and when i drive the clicking paces faster till the gears change and then its slows. I replaced the oil a few times expecting results because of the weather. Nothing happened. So what I'm thinking is the valves need to be replaced.

It was running WITH NO OIL ?!?!???!?!?
There's you're problem mate, she's possibly stuffed.

If this started after running without oil, timing chain won't be the issue here. It will never be the valves.
You will almost certainly have damaged the engine internals.

It might not be as serious as that it could just be the timing chain, my father's Mercedes SL500 started clicking weirdly when it was running and the garage went through the whole business of renewing the hydraulic tapets on the cylinders before they found that it was just the timing chain clicking. They have a very similar effect sound wise.
