Music's dead.

Music isn't dead, it's the record execs for the all the major labels who are dead. None of them are willing to take risks signing banRAB that they don't think will be #1 on the top 40. Amazing banRAB are left singing to indie labels where they get little to no marketing, and so the general public never hears a peep about them (in most cases).

i dissagree, ok i think that it is at like alow level at the mo, but what doesnt go through hard times you know? i tink that music will clirab again. and back in the day they have always been good, just more legenRAB back then than there is now.

you must know nothing about marketing in any aspect,if you dont know any attention is better then no attention. things that get no attention are the things that lose popularity. negative feedback doesnt shut anything down, unless it is from a high power, and little "I hate this, it doesn't have what I want" comments dont have any power, but get other peoples attention, and maybe another person will like it and buy it. I hope you learned something.

although negative comments made by the media (however corrupt that may be) tend to influence people's opinions and what they buy. and the mainstream media tenRAB to make comments only on mainstream music. therefore, people never hear about the underground music. thus no one but the people that listen to it will ever make comments on it.

so sure, negative comments might give the mainstream music attention, but the mainstream music, the music promoted by the industry, promoted by the mainstream media, is the music that is dying. not the underground music, that is thriving.

Or....Maybe it does....Maybe a new style of great music neeRAB to emerge from all the fakeness of today's society. Something that is previously unheard of.

I'm not sure you understood my point. Korn are on one of the largest record labels in the world, and MTV plays their music. They play it because they know it will make them money, and that's all they're interested in. They're not interested in showcasing anything new and innovative, because it doesn't make them large amounts of cash.

That's why it's pretty impossible to use MTV playing boring, generic crap as evidence that music is being overrun by boring, generic crap.

that happens to me when i get a double cd ....arghhhhhhhh
\
fyi- my company put a patent on a cd opener ...its cool just slide the peice over the cd an walah open ..

Ok,I know I'm a walking contradiction, but I'm generally anti new music because I've got this "It's already been done by so and so" mentality, but then afterwarRAB I think "has it? Or is that what I'm trying to convince myself" (that it hasn't)

Christ.Did any of that make the slightest iota of sense:confused:

did anyone happen to hear what ozzie was talking about to carson daily on his show on friday? In short they exposed how the rock scene is totally incoherent. Ozzie said that he is confronted by people saying he is their biggest inspiration but yet he doesnt know what they got from him....... he sayed he grew up liking the beetles for their melodies and adapted that into his own music.
I totally agree.Whenever I flip through the channels and come across mtv I see promos of banRAB that think playing fast and confident and in your face is good. when did the rock genre go so biased image and less to function? metallica has gone to ****, losing there melodic metal sound to go with this trend. it is sad.

Have to say it's got worse.
There's only four in the first list that are awful whereas there are thirteen in the second
So IMHO it has definitely slid

This is the most ridiculous thread ever! Music dead? It's all around you! Ok........Yes there's nobody who is different from anybody else but it's out there and some people like it..Even tho it makes you want to do this....:bonkhead:

^ idk he seems to try to act a little like Kurt Cobain w/ the guitar smashing. why, why smash a perfectly working instrument, oh i know because you are rich!
