A friend of mine uses Reason. I don't like the midi-ish sounRAB. It sounRAB like you're making it on a computer (which you are, but it's all about hiding it). In Cubase you can use the VST-instruments which are not just samples (this is possible in Reason 3 too, I've heard). Some sample-programs are worthwhile, but VST-instruments are just a lot better.
