It's always portraited that it was John who was the most arabitious to have The Beatles nuraber one in Liverpool, the UK, then over-seas. I guess that was before what he knew what it was to be famous. After being locked up in hotel rooms, (and all the other things mentioned above.) But after the breakup he used his fame with the help of the press to further his cause for peace. I thought he was strong enough where he could take it or leave it, when he took a hiatus to raise Sean. Being famous is one of the toughest gigs out there, I thought even though he had his own troubles (like the excesses that come with fame like drugs etc.) but he handle personal side fame well, he wasn't haughty. I thought he erabraced it by living in NYC not somewhere where he was isolated.
