Musicians that weren't cut out for fame.

seems to me a lot of people are confusing not being cut out for fame with being taken out of the spotlight early as being one and the same.

just because one was taken out doesn't mean they weren't cut out for it.

Britney Sprears is actually a very valid example same with Michael Jackson. John Lennon is not. seriously, you'd become a recluse long before you called yourself bigger than jesus if you're not cut out for fame.

Yeah, for a lot of folks I've introduced him to, the voice is a pretty dividing factor. I've never had much of a problem with it myself, but it definitely takes getting used to. Don't wanna get this thread too far off on a tangent so I won't go on, but if you'd be interested in an album, just drop me a PM and I'll get a link your way (pretty sure I've still got one or two of them on my mediafire account).

Even after I made it bigger? You didn't notice one of his most infamous pictures, the concert at Reading. I need a facepalm for you Janszoon :D

I'm sure the word tragedy in the dictionary has a picture of Kurt. :( heartbreak.

Oh no wait his wife killing him isn't that much of a tragedy. WE WANT HEAD ON PLATE :bringit:

Peter Ham and Tom Evans, both from Badfinger it wasn't the fame they weren't cut out for but the financial side of the music business, but of course if they weren't famous they would've never ran into Stan Polley.

wow, cunningstunt, people sure are having a tough time with your avatar.
I don't ever remeraber luke playing guitar in any of the movies. Now that would be awesome.

NO! yoda playing guitar would be awesome! and he'd be in a band with chewie on vocals!

Saw that one coming. No way, if you ask me. He had big-time emotional and family problems (growing up and as an adult). He wanted out of the beatles the whole time. Instead of erabracing it, like paul, he slowly destroyed himself (with drugs, really. and i'm not talking about recreational use or a cute little addiction). After the beatles broke up, he disappeared for awhile. he was at an all time low at the end of the bealtes. his heroin addiction was destroying him, yoko had a miscarriage, and he felt as if he was selling out by being in the beatles. Plus he was divorcing his wife and never got to see his son. his contribution to let it be was minimal, with "Across the Universe" being his only real contribution.
In reality it was Yoko who saved him. Sure he was like a dog on a leash with her, but she gave so much to him. After the beatles break up, he settled down, escaped the spotlight for a while, and started a family with Yoko, being a true father to his son sean.
Unlike cobain, he didn't kill himself. In the end, he was happy. but i think his life would have been a lot better had he never joined the beatles or achieved the fame he did. but i'm selfish and am glad he did.
his story was really sad. i could go into it in a lot more detail (i actually wrote a paper on him a couple years ago).
I don't think he was cut out for the fame.

So... I'm going to bring up G.G. Allin. Not because fame destroyed him, but because he had to throw poop to get it.

I have a tee-shirt with the cast of Star Wars playing a concert :D
