Musical Scores in Cartoons...

Man--talk about long time no visit!

As I was driving home this morning I thought about two cartoons with incredible musical scores...The Old Mill from 1937 (Disney), and To Spring from 1936 (MGM).

I know To Spring used clips of Mozart's 'In The Army' (from The Marriage of Figaro) throughout the cartoon. The Old Mill I think was original, but correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

What other cartoons do you believe have wonderful musical scores from the Golden Age of Animation? Let me know what you think!

Yes, it is really a tough one when it comes down to it.

If you think of others, feel free to post! I just thought the 1930s had the best cartoon scores. I'm sure there are others I missed.

Bimbo's Initiation Mysterious Mose, Snow White- All Fleischer
Shangheid- Disney
Wabbit Twouble- Warner Bros.
Magical Maestro- MGM

(Tood Bad no one can nominate any of Richard Stone's scores here)

Not a bad choice! I forgot about Birds Anonymous. There's some special intangible about that cartoon that won them an Oscar and it just might be the music.
