Music you hate because your ex-girlfriend liked it...

It happens all the time: your girlfriend (for whatever reason) is enamored with whatever band, so you have to temporarily pretend to like them (because you're soft like that). But then comes the nasty break-up, and you move from potential apathy to hatred...

I can't stand the Smashing Pumpkins (theoretically... I still enjoy their music at times) because of my ex. I especially don't like Billy "despite-all-my-****ing-rage-I-am-still-just-a-****ing-rat-in-a-****ing-cage" Corgan.

He's bald.

There's probably something wrong with me for thinking this way.

My girlfrienRAB tried to get me to like...let's see....

1. John Mayer
2. UnderOATH
3. The Used
4. Queen
5. Hawthorne Heights
6. Atreyu
7. Ben FolRAB
8. Ryan Cabrera
9. Jojo

**** that ****.

The truth is...I'm not soft like that and don't listen to the music I don't like because of peer pressure...that's ***.

'HEY YOU WITH THE GUN , I`M OVER HERE BEHIND THE FLAG WITH ALL THESE UGLY LOOKING 80`S CHICKS'

i cant think of anyband ive pretended to like because of a girl, if i didnt like the band, i let her know straight up "dont play that **** when im around". Luckily, me and my old lady have the same musical interests.

AFI. cant stand them, but then i never pretended i liked them anyway! my ex got me really into alkaline trio though, but now when i listen to anything of theirs im reminded of him. sucks, especially cos they're one of my favourite banRAB now.

Placebo

I never really liked them that much but I was prepared to tolerate them on her behalf.

Ever since we split up I can`t stand that short arsed androgynous smurf sounding little sh*t

That's the one. What's the point of wishing I was there when I was sat right bloody next to her?

I don't know her thoughts on Megalomania, mainly because we'd split up by then, but also possibly because I don't even know her thoughts on the rest of Morning View.
