How can I write down, record or what can I do to manifest into real life the music I hear in my head? I know nothing about music! 0. I am not trained! I cant sing. What can I do?! Help!
The melodies are always very beautiful and complex and never heard before. It's electronics, plus, instruments and other sounds and effects I don't know what they are. I would like to at least express what s possible. I want to share it with the next person, I want to be able to at least keep a record of it. The songs always come by surprise in moments when I'm extremely focused and in tune with myself.
Today it happened again. 9 :48 - 10:15 PM. I was sitting alone in an open cafe in the main area inside a movie theatre/hall, waiting for the movie to start. I was very calm and content. I had my iPod earphones, volume to the max, plus imagine the extreme noise of the crowd of people going to the movies on the weekend. So, all of a sudden, all sounds are blocked and I start listening only to this continuing song I don't know where it came from. I was also visually tuned out. My eyes were open but I don't remember who passed by. I tilted my head higher and looking at the colorful light projections and ceiling and listening to this beautiful music.
When everyone started getting up around me, I noticed the movement, I came to my own. It was time to go to the film viewing. Then it faded and I could listen again to the iPod and the cacophony of people around.
Other times they are featured in my dreams. The melody from the middle of the dream is remembered in my case after I wake up, only because it was a prominent one in the dream. The sleep music pieces that play at the end of the dream before I wake up, of course can be remembered more easily and more often after I am awake.
My other problem is that because I don't record them, and because I can't replay one by one every layer of a complex piece, they get lost...
Sometimes, it does happen for the same melody to replay. I can recognize a melody I have heard before. I just never know when it s coming again. Maybe 2 or more years apart. In another instance one theme is the continuing variation of a previous one. For example, what I heard today was in continuation and also in more fullness and more developed than what came to me a month or so ago, on Nov 5-6 of 2010.
I really want to be able to re-listen these songs. You know how frustrating it is to hear a song, but not know the artist or title, or have no way to find it even after looking everywhere. Then, it occurs that out of the blue you hear this song again somewhere. But what can be done if a melody is nowhere to be found, except as a past fleeting occurrence in ones head?!
