music coming out of my subwoofer?

got a slim pioneer sub and when hook it up to my rear channel i can hear music coming out of it with bass, the music isnt as good as a speaker but this concerns me because no matter what switches or buttons i press on my AMP its still there. is this normal for subs?
 
You need to turn on the filter on the amp. It's either a HPF (high pass filter) or LPF (low pass filter). Switch it to on and the music should stop, you'll just hear bass. If that doesn't work try wiring it to the front channel. If your amp doesn't have filters then there's no way to prevent this, you just have a cheap amp.
