actually remove the beatles from that

not even close. what i'm getting at is that i'm not that familiar with his stuff because quite frankly i don't feel the need. i can still recognize and respect the influence he's had on music. there's no denying that, but taste wise, what i've heard has not filled me with a need for more. when i'm in the mood for classically inspired music there are select Aphex Twin tracks that i turn to.

if you like it then that's fantastic, i'm not going to vote yes just because it's what i'm 'supposed' to do because he was influential. hell, Pachelbel and his Canon in D is probably more responsible for most pop music than Beethoven.

Why isn't it? I don't understand what's with this music history gestapo who insist you have to be for an artist even if their music does nothing for you or the artists you listen to.

on vbulletin?

most certainly. it's another matter whether the administrator has those features enabled (doubtful).

and just so people understand the gravity of this, the mark would be 9-14 votes with people that have more than 100 posts. not such a wide margin there.

A no from me, 400-ish albums of mediocre to ok music does not warrant a spot in a hall of fame. No doubt he will get in though as people like this tend to do over the big names.

I voted no because TDEP just don't do much for me, they're ok but nothing special. On the positive side they've always had seriously good drummers such as Chris Pennie and Gil Sharone, haven't heard their new drummer yet though.

So then nominate! It seems simple to me that if you want Robin Trower to be up before Tom Waits then get your nomination in first. The order for this thread appears to be fairly straightforward, it will be whatever nominations get sent in first.

Jazz From Hell is one of the man's more overlooked efforts. Terrific instrumental album - one of my favourites.

Voted yes btw. Anyone who votes no should go and see a doctor.
