Music Banter Hall Of Fame: Nominations Thread

I'm going with no on this one. I like them, and Aenima and Lateralus are fantastic albums, but they don't quite make Hall Of Fame material.

Good write up on The Dillinger Escape Plan Alfred. Although after hearing the four viRAB you provided, I feel confident enough in voting no on this one...sorry! I'm fairly certain this is a band I just couldn't get into, although I do have to say I like the third video well enough.

Ooo it's definitely up there.

Well i doubt i could pull it off. A stage can do wonders, get any nobody into one of Moz's finest floral shirts and i'm sure we'd all laugh.

I REALLY don't like yes.

One time in high school I did a page in the newspaper with all these album reviews, and one of the albums was "The Yes Album" and my entire review was just, "No".

As for why I voted no, I dont like them because they're a tedious boring pretentious 70's prog-band, whose unmemorable albums should be destroyed and forgotton before they can spread anymore noise pollution to unsuspecting car stereos and computers. They have little to no relevance today, surely a testament to how insignificant their musical contributions have been.

I really despise Yes.

I like how the band is up for nomination and the fans are only talking about the album.

Definitely not strong enough to gain a place, definitely not important enough to warrant a spot.

I didn't vote at first, but after giving some consideration, I decided to vote "no." I've listened to In the Aeroplane a couple times, and I do not like it. And seeing as they only have one other album, they don't seem like Hall of Fame material to me.

You haven't been here long though, so you wouldn't know what artists are mainly liked. Again, Elliott Smith is widely liked, go to another forum and i'll bet you won't find as many fans.
It's not going to be as obvious as you've said it will be, and i can prove that with the next nomination...

Terribly sorry about that.

I'm a half yes so far. I only have Rhythm and Stealth but it's a brilliant album spanning lots of styles and influences. Got Leftism on the download now.

Definitely Yes from me, in fact it was while reading Boo Boo's KC review thread that I decided to join rab. The strength of their body of work is impressive, and their contribution to the progressive rock movement was enormous.

ITCOTK
Lizard
Discipline
Red
Larks Tongues in Aspic

My top 5 KC albums, I have all of their studio albums now and have been playing them constantly over the last few weeks.
