Music Banter Hall Of Fame: Nominations Thread

I've had a very aggressive stomach virus the last few days. That post reminRAB me of the vile that's been spewing out my anus for the last 24 hours. It stings, it stinks, and in the end I know it's all just shit anyway so I'm going to flush it down my toliet and live life while it sinks into the sewer with all the other crap that been posted on this nom.

Of course I could go into why your post was inaccurate and silly, but what's the point honestly? You've already made you're mind up that you don't like him and apparrently so has everybody else. I was just venting when I said I was going to leave and I understand we don't all like the same kind of music but I haven't seen a very convincing, accurate reason why he's being kept out (inciting gang violence? Jesus.)

I had a copy of License to Ill which I actually found on a bike trail on my way home once... took it home and listened to it... it was God awful to my teenage ears that admittedly preferred anything hard rock at the time.

I think I actually incinerated that cassette...

Must have really .not liked it...

Yes - beacause I love him.

A lot more than David Bowie.

It does seem weird to have a comedian in the HoF but at least Hicks did play music - and recorded comedy albums with his own guitar accompaniment.

You took my "any" way too seriously. What I mean is I, and I mean I, focus not only the music, but also listen to the lyrics. I am the type of person who plays the song twice, once to enjoy it, and the second time to try and make out the lyrics. I don't base my liking on the lyrics, many songs on my library I hate the lyrics, but I still listen to them.

I love instrumetal rock/metal songs, they're actually my favorite kind of music, an all instrumental band would be amazing.

Lyrics might have different meaning to different people. I for one don't judge based on lyrics, but it is interesting hearing what goes along with that guitar riff.

Oh yee of little faith :)

I'm not sure how i'm going to vote for Yes, had a spin of Fragile and it's the sort of album i can't gauge whether i really enjoy or not. If i get the time this week, another album to try?

I can recall people calling it good. I don't ever remeraber it being called a classic until that site that should not be names re-reviewed it.

A solid yes from me. I've heard five or so of their albums, but it was really only Daydream Nation that stood out for me. Even so, that album alone qualifies them to be in the Hall of Fame.

About how many regular users are on here. Sure there may be thousanRAB who have signed up but the core of regulars is quite smaller.

Okay, fine. The think their music is awful, but they are important. That doesn't warrant a yes vote from me - everybody has their own reasons and that's why they share them.

Im not the biggest Tool fan but when im in the mood i dig what they do. Apart from having and occasionally listening to their recorRAB i know jack about this band, i dont even know the reasons behind people hating Maynard James Keenan but apparantly people do!

Probably a little over-rated for me but as i said, if im in the mood then i do enjoy their music and thats enough for a yes from me.
