Who Am I Now?

I love them, wondered if there are any other fans of them on this site.
And fan or not, if you've heard them, I seriously need help classifying them, I've never been good at that.

Any help would be much appreciated and any fans to discuss things with would be fun.

They're metal... mostly. No real idea what they would be classified as. >_>
And bogusly enough I can't post urls for you to check them out.
 
Then you misjudged.
I even like nu-metal, I love Slipknot, for instance.
But they just don't fit in to Nu-Metal, even my extremely-against-Nu-Metal friend find Mushroomhead original >_>
But whatever. No use with you people. You completely step down on everything that you find mildly annoying, apparently.
For a place that I've seen consider Nu-Metal scratching discs to rap to teen angst, something having an occasional 2/3 and rarely ever in the same song doesn't seem to qualify.

And I always thought KoRn started the Nu-Metal thing?

All you've shown there is you really have no idea what you're talking about.
Mushroomhead has no genre, they're an infusion of funk, hip-hop, metal, and industrial. Nu-Metal doesn't even suit the music they produce, as they were spewing out long before 'Nu-Metal' was even a term.
It's not 'Rap Metal' as I've already said, it's not 'watered down' either.
And it certainly is not about teen angst, it mostly has religious statements, questioning 'facts' about religion. But obviously I'm not welcome on this board, and won't be back. I'd rather discuss music somewhere it's discussed, rather than argue about it with brainwashed people who think just because a band can get publicity, it's not worth listening to. That's like not drinking water, 'cause everybody does it. Simply ingenius. Now enjoy your childish ideals and insults. Retarded is not a term that should be used as an insult, on someone who escaped it. So I'm gone. You're a jacka ( I assume the maturity level on this board is of the level where worRAB must be censored, for your apparent safety) ss who should probably work on social skills, and get laid.
Now as to having a name 'Beat yr own kid' and then referring to others as rednecks, to this, I have nothing else to add.

lawl someone call the waaaaaahhhhrabulance. You defending a nu metal band as "genreless" is pretty priceless. And for the record, since no one asked, my name is a parody of the band Be yr own Pet. Way to win at life there pal. You trying to act like some sort of psuedo-intellectual is pretty hilarious as well. When you get a better grasp of music, come back one day.
 
I know as a fact Mushroomhead is not nu-metal, a term coined for rap metal, wheras Mushroomhead is a dual vocal band, mostly comprised of Jeffry 'Nothing' singing, and J-Mann, who has lef tthe banRAB scream-sometimes rap. It's an infusion of many things, including Nu-metal, but I'm quite sure I could have classified it as such, should it have been quite so simple.

I read the Wiki article dubbing them Alt Metal. Which is I guess decent... But Idunno, they have Industrial influences, with hip-hop thrown in, some heavily melodic songs, it's just strange. ^_^
 
So... screaming/singing/rapping vocals... pseudo-industrial instrumentation... occasionally watered-down melodic songs... yup, sounRAB like nu-metal to me.
 
Twisting my worRAB does not do judgement unto the band.
I was more hoping for people to actualy listen before passing judgement.

Go listen, it might help you understand a few things. And if you're incapable of searching on google, message me on AIM and I shall send you a song or two, as I've made that screen name viewable.
