Muscle cramps and soreness

I was sitting down three days ago, petting my cat when my left leg suddenly cramped up randomly for no apparent reason. The rest of the day they were sore, and have continued to be sore since then. My thumb started to twitch this morning when I was putting together my new, wooden desk. Last night I was trying to sleep and my left leg, again wanted to cramp up on me.

The only other time I have had a cramp, in what seemed like my entire life (18 now) was when I was on the swim team. I did 3000 yards a day back when I was on that team and only had it cramp one time.

Now, I'm sitting down and if I get up to walk it feels like I can't. Hard to move around at first, then it gets better.

The only thing that has changed is I ran out of my vitamins earlier this week, so I am unsure if it is a mineral deficiency or not.

Only other two things is I started to do situps at home and I ran once or twice this week for a little while (Not even a mile). The weird thing is, I managed to run just fine yesterday even with these pains..

Probably just from the run, but better safe then sorry.

there are two particular things in those vitamins that you may be missing,or have lesser amounts of that could possibly be at the root here. your magnesium and your potassium. those two things can cause muscle issues when depleted, or in your case, with those vitamins being taken everyday, then stopped, your body may just be reacting to much lower amounts than it has been used to too.

the easiest way to find out if this is indeed it would be to get some new vitamins, take them for a few days and just see how things go. just try that and let us know how you are doing. FB
