Has anybody seen the documatary Murderball which is about the fierce rivalry between the American and Canadian wheelchair rugby teams in the Olympic Games. Is this film any good as it is being shown on BBC4 tomorrow night at 9.30pm?

I've seen this. It's very good, pretty funny. It's not preachy or sugary or anything like that. There are no violins playing at any point. The story of the rivalry between USA and Canada is really well played.

I dont know why it was shown on TV after only just being released on DVD. Does anybody know if the version shown on BBC4 was cut for TV?
I really enjoyed it and I have to agree with the previous comments about it not being too preachy and that it is quite funny in parts. The rivalery between USA and Canada did take centre stage with Joe being a major part!
I just read on IMDB.COM that appartently that Christopher Igoe originally refused to appear in the movie but after more than a year of filming he was persuaded by the need to put his side of the story as rather than have it "mis-told" by others!

I've just rented this film and really enjoyed it. The rivalry between the USA team and Joe Soares was great, typified by the ribbing when they met up at the film premiere( special features). A couple of the blokes made me laugh when after they had their accidents they seemed more worried about their sex lives than their injuries.......
