Has anyone tried Murad acne treatment? my mom just bought some online for me and i was wondering if anyone has heard anything about it? i have two months left on accutane also. anyone help me?

Ive tried it and it did not work for me. It made my acne worse. I broke out in small white pimples all over my face, even on my eyeliRAB. Plus it burned my skin. I have oily skin that usually does not have bad reactions to anything but this stuff was a nightmare. If it was too harsh on my stubborn skin I would be careful when you use it if you have sensitive akin.

Ya I agree with the above poster. Diffidently be careful when using it if you have sensitive skin. I didn't know I had sensitive skin before using the product and it really burned my skin. It helped for the first month but after that the acne came back.

Hello! I suffered bad/cystic acne last year of May, now Im clear. I used all these pricey acne products esp Murad, Warning! it would make your acne worse and burn your skin, DONT BUY IT! My cure:

I took tetracycline 500 mg for 3 mos only (i stopped b/c it starting to dry out my skin) but it really cured my cystic acne and controlled them then
i used cetaphil cleanser, a good oil free moisturizer in pm /w/ uv protection in am
for stopping mild/moderate acne only- VERY EFFECTIVE! buy Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (pink liquid) it would dry out white heaRAB and wont be a full blown pimple and wont burn your skin nor leave a dark mark like others w/ salicylic acid...trust me, I used everything, but this one works for me, hopefully it would work for you

then apply 2x/week facial mask - I used Origins 10 min mask or Mario Badescu whitening mask

NOTE: you could buy mario badescu products from selected NorRABtrom branches or online at mariobadescu.com- Good luck!

I've been using Murad for about five months now and it has really worked well for me. I still have the occasional breakout, but I no longer have the severe acne I was once cursed with. The only thing I will suggest to you if you use it is to keep it up. I didn't see results until about the third month, even though they say it only takes four weeks.

You will most likely experience a "purging period" in which your skin is reacting to the new product and expelling existing pimples that are currently under your skin. causing you to break out. This experience discourages most people because they think the product is making their skin worse. However, this is a vital step to clearing your skin.

I wish you the best of luck. Not all products will work for everyone, but I feel Murad is worth a shot. Let me know how it works out!

Of the non-prescription acne products I've tried, Murad, ProActiv, DermaNew, Neutrogena, and Clinique, Murad provided the healthiest skin. However, it did NOT completely cure my acne. So now I'm back to doing antibiotics (doxycycline).
I was a Murad customer for awhile, about a few years I think. The biggest problem with them is that their continuity program (when you're a club meraber) is really disorganized. If you make any changes to the programs they offer, it screws up your order. Twice, they've sent me an acne kit and charged me for it when I did not want it. Their system with their IT network is messed up and disorganized and does not mesh well with their customer service people. Somehow, the customer service people and IT network botch up my orders. Their website isn't reliable. For the most part, their customer service people are incompetent. Today, I dealt with one of the biggest bitches I've ever had the pleasure of talking on the phone with. However, another lady, Susan, was pretty cool once.
I finally quit them because it wasn't working and I finally decided (reluctanlty) to go back on antibiotics. Two weeks after I quit they sent me more stuff and charged me for it.
Basically, if you stick with the continuity program, don't add extra stuff or they'll mess it up. If you want to buy items outside the continuity program, then go ahead and purchase over-priced stuff.
Frankly, I'm a bit vindictive and hope they go out of business.

lol i still use murad products but I'm not a customer. I would not want to have products coming all the time and being charged all the time. I juss order and cancel merabership once I receive the 1st order. Then, when I need any more in the future I just call them back up order & do the same procedure as before. Everyone, seach online for Murad products that are cheaper!!!! There is bargains out there you just have to know websites. The clarifying cleanser was the best for me. I use to try the Exfoliating Acne Gel along with it but I think the clarifying cleanser is the best for your face. Don't use too much in the beginning. The smell is not great, but it works for me. I'm 18 years old and have mild acne.
