Multi tool issued to the US army?

I heard that the US Army issues multitools, I'm not really sure if this is true, seeing that I'm from some far away country and I know very little about these things, I'm wondering what specific multi tool they use and which is really useful

multi tool? i can only think you are talking about a gerber or leatherman. like a pocket knife, pair of pliers thing. some units do issue them. as my supply officer orders all sorts of cool gadgets for us. but most don't.
