Mulitplayer on my wii is broken I think

On sports it works just fine, but in excite truck and need for speed the games simply wont pick up the second controller. wtf!

Did you try resynching the controllers ?

i found the blue quick setup booklet that told me to push sync buttons on remote's battery slot and wii's SD slot. works good.

I find thats the most best way but sometimes i'm too lazy to get up and just do it from the home screen.

This is a TEMP sync. This will only sync the controller for the duration of the game.

A permanent sync is needed if its your controller, you just press the sync button on the console and the remote.

fuck, i thought you meant online multiplayer and when i saw sports i was like omg, then i find out you're talking about controllers

I had the same problem, thurs out the batteries were dead on my second remote. It would turn on and be detected but I would get a message saying 2nd controller disconnected.
