Mugs of tea...or is it alcohol?

Anybody been on one of those shows where people drink from big mugs? Deal or No Deal, Countdown, Loose Women etc etc

Are they really drinking tea or coffee or is it a disguise for your favourite tipple to steady your nerves? I've never seen any steam coming from the mugs...but people sip from them as if they're hot (or strong??)

Some shows don't have anything in their mugs and its just a prop but the presenters still pretend they do at times. This Morning is one example.

My friend was in the audience of Loose Women earlier this year, and Carol Mc Giffen told them that they were only allowed water as health and safety wouldn't allow hot tea! I'd swear though Denise Welsh laces hers with Vodka.....

On Countdown, in the glasses is defanately water. I believe Richard Whitely liked lime juice.
