The only way would be to build a run for your dog, preferably concrete with a frost fence around. If you redo the lawn he will chew it up again.
We had the same problem. Her run is about 30x10, she has a large kennel for escape or sleep and seems quite happy. Of course this means you will be taking her for runs and long walks. A bit of a pain .
Other than that it means getting rid of the dog.........sad.

We just moved in to a lovely house and I loved my garden, but my huge dog has ruined it by digging and running around, does any 1 know how I could get a lovely green lawn, I'm desperate as I can't bear to look at it.
