mudding in a 1998 ford ranger?

i have a completely stock 1998 ford ranger 3.0L v-6. what kind of upgrades would you suggest for me to make to make this truck ready for some muddin
i am looking to upgrade my ranger to be able to go mudding 3.0l v-6 and i know i need a lift kit and skid plates and tires. i was thinking 5 inch lift with bf goodrich mud terrains km2 i dont need specific parts i more need to know where to get them besides online. and if i did get a lift kit how hard is it to install
 
1. lift kits. you need the height to go boggin'
2. extra lubes and oil. those axles are gonna get filled and comtaminated with water. after you go
boggin, drain, clean, and fill. they also have vent tubes on the so you need to make them
longer.
3. winch. you will get stuck, if your alone (only 1 truck), you can winch out.
4. tires and wheels. you need some mud slingers. big lugs to throw that mud off and keep those
tires free from mud.

lift kit and tires just to start with, i think for the 4 inch plus, you needed a diffrent drive shaft for that truck. not 100% but in acouple of the petersons 4 wheel and off road mags, i seen like some 6 inch lifts rangers and they had aftermarket driveshafts. i would get a 3 or 4 inch lift and put some 32s or maybe 33 inch mud tires on it and see how you like that. i would not get any bigger than 33s on that stock ifs system
 
Things that would make you almost unstoppable in the mud

5.0 liter V8

6 inches of suspension lift

35 inch Super Swampers or even better, some type of tractor tires

Lockable front and rear differentials

Short Ring and Pinion gearing

lots of tools and spare parts for when you break things like axles and what not. lots of new fluids and fresh grease

RECOVERY GEAR (for when you are truly stuck)

a raised intake (snorkel) and protected electronics (ignition boxes and stuff)

A Lift kit and bigger tires will be a must. After this some aftermarket skid plates to keep you afloat and to protect the undercarriage. Depending on how extreme you are thinking of going a snorkel and some extra windshield washing Equipment may also be in order.
