msn chat window problem in windows 7?

iv just finished upgrading a freinds pc to windows 7 .. including installing new graphics etc.
the prob is hes just installed msn live messenger. it runs ok but when you open a chat window . even tho you can see it on the taskbar using aero peek feature if u click it it wont let u access it.. iv tryed reinstalling msn also using an older version which then wouldnt run untill i upgraded. still no fix.. any help .?
 
I dont know if this will work for you but,
DONT download anything like registry cleaner, they are viruses and dont even clean up your pc, all you have to do is a few simple things,

1. right click on your msn icon
2. click run as administrator.

Also if you go on properties and click on advanced, something you can click on that will set it permantly.
