MSN and hotmail sync

I have verizon with MSN. So my free hotmail account is actually a MSN account...

I just typed in my email address and my password.
 
i was able to sign up for a hotmail live account for free after doing so i was able to add my hotmail account to my phone but for some reason i haven't gotten one email to my phone with that account.
 
what are you trying to "sync" ? you can have email pushed to your device (but most Hotmail accounts do not work as you will see from the conversations above #2, #9, #12, #13..etc, and MANY other threads on this forum), but sync'ing is different. MSN/Hotmail cannot sync anything (sync email 2-way, address book, calendar, notes). For that you would need a BES account (there are threads about BES if you wish to read them).
 
Yeah I have a windows live account via a hotmail adress but can't seem to get the email app to function right. So far i've resorted to using msn mobile to access my email. Ne solutions?
 
Hotmail works now. If you already have it set up on your blackberry, just delete it from email settings and then create it again. I believe they must have fixed something. And you don't need to upgrade your OS to 4.5 to do it!
 
Hotmail works now! And it's just regular free hotmail not the upgraded version. If you already have it set up on your blackberry, just delete it from Email Settings (icon on your blackberry homepage) and then create it again. This did work fast. I just added my hotmail account to my 8120. Now if I can figure out how to get the new messenger on my 8120.
 
Hotmail really doesn't work. It'll say that it's sync'd when you do it through the website (did it myself) got all excited as I use that account some, however not as much as my university account, but none the less, important enough to want sync'd with my BB. It really never worked. Could send but not receive. You however can access your hotmail via a mobile log-in. Just google it on your phone. It works alright.
 
lo people, yeah my hotmail add works but i dont receive the e mail thing to my BB so dunno if it works sometimes or not, done the service book thing but still not joy, although it does say that its all completed on the pc do you think i should try it on BB to see what happens?

when I upgraded my 8120 I couldnt log into my email, I'd get an error, so I went into browser configuration and changed the emulation mode to MS pocket IE and it worked like a charm. Works good with Netscape too....
