an email.? This problem started Saturday, before that the program worked fine. I am receiving the following:
*Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal. Do you want to save those changes? Yes, No, Cancel
If you click yes, it tries to save the file as normal but says it already exists
*Word can not open existing file (normal)
*Saving the AutoRecovery file is postponed for normal
*This file is read only (C:/Users/myname/Appdata/.../Normal.dotm)
*Check the temp environmental variable
When I go to the windows variables both my temp and tmp are the same and read %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
Can anyone help me fix the problem? I don't even know what I did to cause this. I have read that it usually occurs when saving to an external hard-drive and not the computer itself, but I have only once saved one file to a USB drive, everything else gets saved to my internal hard-drive.
I am using Windows 7, MS Office 2007 Professional, and trying to upload the docs to Internet Explorer
I have a Compaq laptop which is HP practically and it seems a lot of people who get this error have some form of HP.
Thanks
