Mrs. Doubtfire 2 : What's happening to it?

Is this movie happening? First it was, now rumours are saying it's not because Robin Williams didn't like the script. Wud b pretty good if he got involved with it again cos the first one was legendary. If there is already a post about this movie, I havent found it.
 
There's no way it's gonna happen now. A while ago the idea was that it was about his youngest daughter going to college and him keeping an eye on her by being a cleaning lady there or something. It sounRAB crap and I'm glad it wasn't made because it would only tarnish the first film.
 
I hope it's not going ahead...it would, as a poster above said, tarnish the first film and not be very funny. Those sorts of sequels should have been done a few years after the first one...not 14 years later!
 
As with any sequel, it's hard to judge whether it'd be good or not. Clerks 2 was released 12 years after the original and yet it was a worthy followup. I haven't seen Rocky Balboa but have heard that it stanRAB up well amongst the others. I hope that Indiana Jones'll be good.

I can't imagine what a sequel to Mrs Doubtfire would be, but you can't really say whether it'd be good or not, 'cos the first one was good, why shouldn't the second be so, not all sequels tarnish the original.
 
Mrs. Doubtfire? The film where Robin Williams has an almost passable Scottish accent and says he's from England? That kind of thing makes my face twitch uncontrollably...
 
Ture, but I've always seen that film as one where it didn't need a sequel...it told the story it mean to tell...anything else would be a rehash of what happened in the original...ala Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason.
