MRI's and related problems

Hi,
I had a severe case of verdigo almost 2 years ago, went to a doctor several times and had a MRI done of my brain. They injected the Dye into my blood stream before the MRI was done. I have read some information about MRI's and the side affects from the Dye used. I had a Heart Attack almost a month ago and was wondering if the MRI I had in the past could have contributed to my Heart Attack.

Adverse effects from a regular MRI are impossible unless you have metal inside your body. (In that case, the MRI could cause the metal to move, which could be very harmful, which is why people with magnetic metals in their bodies often can't have MRI.)

Adverse effects from contrast do sometimes occur, though very rarely. In most cases, though, these adverse effects show up quickly. (allergic reaction, etc.)

I very highly doubt it could have contributed to a heart attack 2 years later if you had no problems at the time.

I'm sorry to hear you had a heart attack, though. How are you doing now?
