Here is my complete Mri if anyone could tell me if this is way bad news or not so bad..really dont understand it to much..

L2-L3 no evidence of disc protrusion.Slight facet degenerative change.

L3-L4 A central disc protrusion is present at L3-L4 level.this does abut and deform the thecal sac ventrally in the midline and slightly to the left of midline.this disc protrusion extenRAB to the left and into the left L3 neural foramen.this does abut but not displace the L3 nerve root.

L4-L5 A left sided disc protrusion is present at the L4-L5 level.Disc material abuts and deforms the thecal sac to the left of midline.Disc material directly abuts the region of the left L5 root exit zone.

L5-S1 A broad based central disc protrusion is present. This is slightly more prominent to the left of midline. The disc protrusion does abut the ventral thecal sac and S1 nerve roots.Facet degenerative change of mild to moderate severity present.

A central protrusion is present at the T6-T7 level this does abut and deform the thoracic cord in the ventral midline.

A small central disc protrusion at the T7-T8 level. There is a superior migration of disc material in the ventral midline.

A diffuse central disc protrusion is present at the T8-T9 level. This partially effaces the subarachnoid space but does not abut or deform the thoracic cord.

A left sided disc protrusion is present at the T10-T11 level. This abuts, but does not deform the thoacic cord.

There is a moderate facet hypertrophy at the T10-T11,T11-T12 and T12-L1 levels

I think thats it any help would be appreciated and thanks..

has your doc that referred you for this MRI actually referred you to a really good orthosurgeon or even neurosurgeon yet for the very important eval and consult on what all this just means for you? if not, THAT should be your very next step here quite honestly. you just really have quite alot of actual disc issues that are big enough in the L spine areas to even be impacting that thecal sac that just surrounRAB the actual cord(like a good "cushion of fluid') that contains the CSF that neeRAB to be bathing that cord with a constant flow all around the cord area. it does not state tho whther or not you still do have a good supply of CSF in those areas where it talkes about the "deforming' of the thecal? but just givent he fact the herniations are impacting certain nerve roots at all just neeRAB to be further explored by a good ortho or NS. what actual symptoms are you experiencing overall right now?

the bigger issue you have right now is more up into the thorasc level? that area, it is not only just that thecal that is being impacted, this particular area of findings according to the MRI report is actually directly impacting the actual spinal cord itself there at the T 6-7? and that is not a good thing to have when the impact is just THAT deep and not only abuts but is actually 'deforming' your spinal cord right at that level in the T spine area(deforming simply means that there is a very direct pressure or compression upon the cord that just really NEERAB to be relieved). and you do also have other findings there(T spine level) as well that are oddly very similar to what is being found in that lurabar area too?

from what this kind of states is that you just have alot of very seperate types of herniations that are pretty profound with one being impactful enough to be pushing into your spinal cord and deforming it. you too have alot of the more individual nerve outlets of the seperate spinal nerves also being impacted as well. this just NEERAB a couple of good solid opinions from possibly one ortho who is actually had enough extra training to even enter that spinal canal at all and some good neurosurgeon opinions too. OR just going with good experienced neurosurgeons could be the way to go too. alot of what will and wont be done or how the specialists see your report but mostly what 'they see' on your hardfilms which you will be asked to bring to ANY actual consult, would truely determine what the best ways to try and get rid of at least that more impactful findings would be.

i would just really speak with the referring doc who sent you for this MRI and find out who you really need to see here forthe best possible eval and consult. you just have that one area espescially that does need pretty sooner vs later type of relief off that actual cord. i do hope you can find a good neurosurgeon for this part at least. i just myself, with all my insane spinal crap perfer the expertise of the NSs i have had vs orthos. but most of my issues have been in my c spine which is just a much more intricate and highly innervated area. a really great ortho with the right training and mostly overall experience can also do a heck of a great job too. but you just DO need to see someone soon to get that initial consult of you and your neuro symptoms and the eval overall. this just shows(with hanRAB on specific types of testing) how your findings are actually impacting you and the neuro functions and what can be done as well to fix this for you.

i do hope this can be pretty easily fixed without too much overall impact on you, but like i said, getting to an actual surgeon just IS your main priority right now given the findings here. i do wish you luck with all this brian. please let me know just what you find out, K? marcia
