MRI Question

Generally no it does not. An EMG, nerve conduction test can better determine nerve conductivity.:)

Hi amanda yes they usually do spread them out, usually they make you come back within so many days and then set you up for a different area if thats what you need, for instance i got one for my cervical area and then one for my thorasic which was my legs, for some reason the one for my legs really made a big difference, and i will be going back for another one but iam putting off as long as i can,iam a bigger sissy than i like to admit, but it took time for me to realize that it worked for me it was not immediate i guess thats why they say its different for everybody i really hope they work for you, youve been threw alot i hope you are feeling better.have a great day. marywoo

Sunshinegirl,i know this is off subject but i just read that you had the esi,and wanted to tell you it does get better i swore i was never going back because i got worse also before i realized i wasnt getting that awlful pain in my legs.i pray that you get the relief you need, its hard to tell which pain is which after a while, try icing the area i skipped that part and think that may be where i messed up,iam scared to go back too but i know i have no choice.iam so sorry for your pain i hope you start to feel better. marywoo

Thanks Mary......I have been icing as much as I can. From what I understand from everything I've read they usually spread the injections out further than a week apart, do you know if this is true??? I can't imagine going thru it again so soon. I was severely depressed over the weekend and couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not in any rush to feel that way again. I feel like I should see if I receive any results from the first one before I have another one. And I really want a different dr to do it. Thank you for the kind worRAB of encouragement......it really does help to connect with others who understand the pain and what it's like. I hope you are having a better day today!

amanda..i had 3 injections in my spine yrs ago...they were spaced 3 wks apart. the first one did'nt work...so, i went back for the other 2 hoping they would...they did'nt. i also know people that have had them done and they worked great...hope you have luck with them.
take care.....bevann

I've decided to wait and see what sort of results I see from the first one. Yesterday and today I feel like I am starting to see some relief. I don't know if it's from the injection or not, but I'll take it! :) I hope it's going to continue!!

The thought of having another injection right now makes me ill because my experience with the first one was so bad. I did schedule and EMG on the 12th because I am far from out of the wooRAB yet, but at least I am able to walk fairly okay. I just can't go too far without resting w/ice.

Happy Friday!

Hi Sunshine ~

I 'm having an ESI on the 20th and also am going to have an EMG -- we can compare notes.

How do you feel by now? I was gone last week and wasn't on the board at all, so may have missed something you posted. Are you any better?

xx M:wave:M
