I am located 1 block away from the Subway. Ideally, I'd like to go to a place in Queens or Manhattan. What place do you recommend? Any specific doctor's names or technicians? Any particular good or bad experiences you'd be able to share? If that information isn't allowed on this website, please send me a private message, or please email me at * contact information removed by rabroad-mod, moderator * . Thanks very much. I've never had any MRI or any surgery. I am 24 years old, 5'10, 150 lbs. I will be getting an MRI of the C-Spine and T-Spine w/o contrast (Spine doctor's choice)

Do you know how lucky you are? You have access to the best of the best and you don't know it? I travel 2 hours to get to Hospital for Special surgery in Manhattan and would keep doing it for the rest of my life if I have to. I had my spinal surgery there done by the director of the department (contact me by private email if you need info). I go there at least once a month for my treatments, I see my RA Dr there, Neurologist and PM DR.

Their radiologists have the best reputation in US, they are amazing, so they require all the tests MRI, CT, discogram all done there. I had done over 100 different tests in stayed in the hospital for 2,5 weeks after my surgery. The only thing I have to say: you will never disappoint yourself.

MRI is the easiest test nothing to worry about.
Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the info. Moldova. I actually contacted them yesterday and they don't accept my insurance. They did however tell me which insurance they do accept, and told me that if I would like I can switch my insurance. As this will be my first MRI, and I don't know if anything is seriously wrong with my back, I will just have it done at a place where my insurance can cover it. If the MRI does show something, then I will consider the Hospital for Special Surgery for my future visits.
