I'm unearthing this thread with a similar problem, in this case a dead S68 I bought on eBay.
It shows the same symptom as navistar's CF75: the only thing it does when I try to power it on is a short beep.
My cable is adequate for flashing, since I successfully used it to revive an E71. I already obtained and calculated ESN, Hash, SKey and BKey, and made a FuBu using x65flasher. So, I don't think I need to do a TP.
In Papuas, when I click "Service Mode" and press the red key, it shows this:
Code:
Boot in "Service mode"...
Press RED key (Power ON)!
Auto Ignition...
Transfer boot...
Boot in "Service mode" Ok
Awaiting Power On phone...
No answer on Ping
The phone's screen lights up and shows "Service Mode", but Papuas can never do anything with it, it always says it can't find the phone.
Clicking "Normal Mode" gives this:
Code:
Boot in "Normal mode"...
Press RED key (Power ON)!
Auto Ignition...
Transfer boot...
Boot in "Normal mode" Ok
Awaiting Power On phone...
Phone was switched off on error:
ExitCode: 0x0207
FILE:
fmexecc
Checksum: 0x9376
ExitType: Exit
CPSR: 0x6000001F
CepId: 0x46FF
ExitString:
FFS_0
, together with the short beep.
WinSwup can find the phone and reports a successful FW transfer, but the phone still beeps and doesn't respond to Papuas.
Is there any hope of recovering this phone without messing with the IC's, or it's just a nice-looking paperweight? Thanks!
