Anyone else looking forward to this film? Some reports suggest that the box office may take a hit following the Jolie-Pitt "affair", but do people really take things like that into account when they buy their popcorn and ticket on a Friday night? From what I have seen so far, it is looking pretty good!

Yeah it does look good i saw the trailer for it when i went to see star wars and thought wow i think il go and see that when it comes out!

i thought it was an action film and was going to go and see it in a couple of weeks, but according to the interview today on GMTV, it's a comedy???, i'm not so keen now

According to IMDB, it comes under action, comedy, thriller, romance and adventure. When I saw the trailer, it didn't look much like a comedy film!

saw the trailer when I went to see Star Wars and i loved it. definately will be going to watch it this saturday. They look very good togather and the film looks like some good light entertainment

I've already seen this and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It's not a bad movie per se, but a touch too long, and at times it appears to think it's a 'smarter' film than it actually is. Fine for some light entertainment, but it could have been so much better if it wasn't trying to pat itself on the back all the time (if you catch my drift).

How have you already seen this as it hasnt been released in the UK or the US yet and there are no previews untill the end of this week?
I am really looking forward to this as it looks like it could be the unexpected box office hit of the summer!

Is this supposed to be based on the 40's Hitchcock film 'Mr & Mrs Smith'? Or does it just coincidentally have the same name? I'm sure I;ve heard Hitchcock mentioned in a couple of reviews

The plot of the original film is that the Mr and Mrs Smith find out theyre not really married because of some legal mixup or other. Mr Smith assumes they will just get married again, but Mrs Smith decides to teach him a lesson by stringing him along for a bit and playing the field. But they get together again in the end (I think).

a lot considering it started out as a remake of a 1941 Alfred Hitchcock thriller.

"It's Hitchcock in name only by now," my source says. "Everything he did in worRAB, we're doing in explosions."

Found that somewhere. I think it's just by name, not a remake of the 1941 Hitchcock film.

Just been to see it. I really enjoyed it as a bit of fun. Lots of references that could appear to have more resonance in light of the Jolie/Pitt saga. They both look fantastic and if you are not particularly interested in the plot and enjoy explosions and cartoon violence then you will enjoy this. I was laughing out loud at parts. Yes it was a tad on the long side and egoistic but they are the best looking couple around!

Saw this film yesterday and loved it. Very good light entertainment and Brad and Angelina are great and have real chemistry together. If they are not together in real life, I can see how the rumours started as they are one sexy couple. Some of their scenes together were steamy even when they were just talking!
The action is all over the top but as long as you dont take the film too seriously think ul enjoy it.

I saw Mr and Mrs Smith yesterday and really enjoyed it. It is a totally mindless film that really enjoys itself. It is a bit slow at the start as they are setting up how messed up their married life is but after that the film is great fun. However the ending of it was quite sudden!
