Hi guys,

I've searched this and only be able to find half answers here and there.

I'm not super experienced but am tech savvy. I need someone to walk me through this as I've only done a little bit of phone modding.

I have the latest version of MPT and a Cricket branded L7C. I would really like to use the multimedia feature in MPT to clean up some of the crappy media that is prepackaged on the phone. I'd also like to be able to create my own ringtones and manage my logos/background/buttons and all that jazz.

I have heard of others being able to get this feature up and running on their phones but I'm at a loss as how to do it.

Thanks in advance for the help.

go to modmymoto.com and youll ind everything you need......... how to make tones, skins, start up-down sounRAB, loading image, etc........ you will need motorola drivers and p2k commander

right click the icon on the sys tray i believe its options change modem then manually select the l7c (sprint) i know you got cricket but trust me thats what worked for mine hope that helps

Works. Instructions below are a bit cleaned up.

Launch MPT. Right click icon in system tray. Select "Setup" then "General Setup.."

Select the "Communication" tab. Select "Change Modem"

A device configuration wizard will come up. Select "Next".

Next screen will ask you to select a device. You should automatically have "Motorola USB Modem" selected but if you don't.. select it? Then select "Next".

Stop! Okay next screen is the Detect Driver screen. The program wants to automatically detect your drivers but that will... well... do nothing. Check the box for "Do not automatically detect the driver. Select from list."
Select "Next".

Next screen is "Model selection". Under "Device manufacturer" select "Motorola CDMA" and under "Device model" select L7c - SLVR Sprint. Click the almighty "Next" button. Then "Finish".

Zing... off goes the program. When all is said and done you will have access to MPT's Multimedia functions.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to use MPT just because of the simplicity. I'll take a browse through the guides. I chuckled a bit at the comment about responsibility. I'm totally gonna fry my phone and then blame you now :-P

Thanks guys.
