is it possible???
i want music on my pc to put it on my fone, i used all the software on the pc suit which came with it but it doesnt have a opinion to let me do it

im wondering if any of u guys know any way of doin it

thankz

It is possible to transfer MP3s from your PC to the phone, however the phone must have a connection of some sort with the PC.

What connection device are you using? Infra Red device or Bluetooth? And does the File manager programme recognise that the phone is connected?

im using data cable
and i tried all the software that came withit but i cant find out how >.>

I wish I could offer more help. Unfortunately I don't use the data cable as I have an infra red device. It plugs into a USB and connects with my phone very easily (completely plug & play - no need for drivers).

I would look elsewhere on the net for some advice if you're still having difficulty.

Alternatively if you're in the UK Sony Ericsson have a fantastic support centre, (not sure where you are from though).

thank you for tryin i have recently send a faq thingy to se support centre thing
hope they reply as soon as possible and as for the infred thing how much does that cost?

I managed to pick an Infra Red device from my local Maplin store for 20 english pounds. The thing I like about it most is that it works with all the phones I have. I currently have three (one for work, one for my car and one as my main phone - the K700i)

That was a year ago, however if you go on ebay.com and type IRDA, there are plenty of devices for sale.

In the UK, the ebay prices are around 5 english pounds.

Hope this is of help to you,

nice!
thnx even tho id ont have a ebay account ill ask my friend to get it for me thank alot
o and can u explain how i use infr to transfer music to phone? just incase i get lost again after i get it

Once you have the device (which should be USB) - make sure before you bid that it is a 'universal' device and works for any IR device.

Plug it into the computer (mine didn't need any drivers - just plug & play) - then select 'more' on your phone desktop. Switch IR to 'on' and then point the top of the phone (where the IR port is) at the end of the IR device that is plugged into the computer.

Your computer (after about 5 seconds) should register a 'nearby computer' on the start menu. You should then be able to right click on an MP3 file and 'send file to nearby computer' - (a.k.a. the phone).

The phone should ask whether or not you wish to receive the file, press YES and the MP3 will download (albeit slowly!) into the sounds directory on your phone.

Hope this helps, take a note of my email: [email protected]

If I can help again just give us a shout.

You are certainly right, Bluetooth is far better that IR, however at the time of writing my response my only experiences were with IR. Bluetooth is still IMO more expensive as the devices cost more than IR. IRs are going on ebay for below 2 quid at the moment.

I'm just upgrading to BlueTooth this month so I'm kinda looking forward to not having to point my phone all the time!!!
