My husband and I were trying to tough out the two year tour in Okinawa to avoid the extra year they put on. Well we've almost made it the first year, and its proving to be extremely difficult. When he first got all the marriage paper work turned in he was asked if I'd be moving there... he said no. Is it too late to go back now and make arrangements to have me move there? and what does this process entail? Will I need a passport (Not sure with Japan, i know you dont have to have one for Guam) I still haven't gotten my military ID, I'd need that wouldnt I?
not moving much of my stuff is fine... reallly. and a military ID is obtainable. I'm aware that you cant just change your mind with the military but, I imagine there'd be some way to work around this? We don't mind paying for the plane ticket either. I have a friend who goes and visits her husband for a month at a time, then comes home for a month....
