...rent. How do I handle this? I've been unemployed for months, and my landlord knows this. I notified him at the start of March that I'm moving out of state to live with an elderly relative who needs help. I said I'd be working through the month to get caught up on rent, but despite my best efforts, I'm going to be a month or (more likely) two behind when I leave. I've never been in a position like this before. Do I ask my landlord to set up a payment plan for after I leave to get the balance paid off? I'm going to look for a job in my new city as soon as I arrive, but I'm nervous about the job market there too. Ugh, this stinks. Any advice on how to handle this? Thanks.
