Movies you watch over & over and why....(no lists)

The Wizard of Oz I've seen it about over 400 times. I absolutley LOVE it. it's my fave movie ever. I can recite it for the most part.

Clue
it never gets old. it's always funny. "This is War, Peacock. you can't make an omelette without breaking an egg, every cook will tell you that." "but look what happened to the cook." :lmao:

The Breakfast Club
I just love it so much.

The Princess Bride
it's romantic, hilarious. full of adventure. just awesome.

Clueless
I love the fashions. and it's just a hilarious movie.

Rear Window
it's by Hitchcock, has James Stewart and Grace Kelly. so suspenseful and just wonderful. never get sick of it.

Jaws
I love it. the indianapolis speech is just so chilling.a fantastic movie. that I'll watch over and over. even though it makes me scared of the ocean.

and there's many more that I can watch over and over. :D

The Graduate cause it's my most favorite movie (that's the obvious answer, right?)

But it never gets old even though it always ends the same way (which is fantastic). The music fits the story wonderfully, it's funny and I love the ending with Ben and Elaine at the back of the bus.

And Mrs. Robinson is coldly brilliant. Also, I love Dustin, so yeah, it's my first love.

I also watch Judd Apatow comedies like 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Knocked Up and Superbad over and over because they always make me fall on the floor dead from laughter with drool going everywhere. If I'm ever having a bad day, I totally pop one of those in and just laugh like a jackass.

Same for Oid School.

Pride and Prejudice I watch often cause it is one of the only love stories I like. And the movie is gorgeous (as is Mr. Darcy).

Dirty Dancing and Urban Cowboy when they come on TV and I have NO idea why LOL!
Must be something deep in my psychie

I could watch 'The Ring' over and over because Samara never stops freaking me out
'The Others' and 'The Village' because I love the plots
'Ladder 49' because Joaquin Phoenix is sooooooooo cute!

Batman Returns
What I consider the best of the Batman franchise. Dark, gloomy and gothic, Tim Burton is the man. Mucho better than the original which was boring! I first saw this when I was seven years old and now 11 years on, I still watch love it like it was the first time I saw it. When I watch it, I just get pulled into that superhero universe. And whenever Michelle Pfeiffer graces the screen, I say her lines along with her - my all time favourite movie quote "Life's a bitch; now so am I!"

Final Destination
I'm such a sucker for horror type movies and this movie fills the obsession. What can I say? Ali Larter, Seann William Scott and Kerr Smith, so hot on so many levels. I love the concept of Death stalking you and not too kindly taking to you cheating death. It had a really strong opening and doesn't let up on the thrills.

Liar Liar
One name: Jim Carrey. Easily this man's best film. I mean, like Batman Returns, I know it word for word. It's scary really. The scenes with the "godamn pen is blue!" and the court room scene near the end are the best parts of the movie. I crack up everytime I see his funny assed face.

The Lost Boys
Another movie I know word for word. This came out when I was only two years old so obviously I didn't see it when it came out. I have the biggest crush on Corey Haim in this movie and Kiefer Sutherland makes the hottest vampire ever to grace the screen...well before Angel and Spike appeared on Buffy.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Officially the funniest film ever. With the most use of the 'f' word I have ever witness in a movie. It's the only Kevin Smith movie I've seen so I guess I love Mallrats and Dogma and the like as well. Silent Bob is my favourite character and well, I get some quality drool time over Ms Larter in a Catsuit. Forget Eliza man, just forget her.

And the deleted scenes...woah!

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino have the best chemistry. You really believe they are best friends. What's not to love about this movie! The soundtrack is killer and Kurdrow is so dumb in it you'd peg her for Phoebe's long lost sister in Friends.

Michele: What are you picking on us for? We are not the ones who got fat.
Christy: We're pregnant you half wit!
Michele: Oh well...yeah...I hope your babies look like...monkeys."

Legally Blonde
Reese Witherspoon's best performance. Her comedic timing is second to none. Selma Blair always gives me reason to crack up, Luke Wilson is lovely, jailbird Ali

and I just love that final court room scene with Reese and Linda Cardellini,

. And Bruiser....awwwww! Adorable.

There's loads more but I don't want to make one of the world's longest posts in the world!

***Dazed & Confused***
This movie is AWESOME; the soundtrack is great, the characters are hysterical. I wish I had a group of friends like these people...life would be a blast.

But yeah I have seen this movie so many times I can recite the dialogue.....

My mom didn't like vampire movies and I so young that I had to wait until it came out on video. My brother knows my obsession with movies like this and he brought it home, I saw it 7 times the same day.

I was drooling, panting, gasping, shocked.. BEST.MOVIE.EVER
lol.gif
I saw it again and again and again... It was magic I tell ya.

Now I'm older and well, Titanic happened so
lol.gif
But everytime I watch it I remember the fascination of that first day.

A Walk to Remember-b/c i love it and its so good!

House of Wax-remake...b/c its awesome and i love it so much!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-b/c its awesome...Dan Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are amazing!!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets-so cute and funny!

I have seen Ever After and Never Been Kissed at least 100 times each. I also love American Outlaws with (yum) Colin Farrell. That was a great movie!

Cruel Intentions - I think I've seen 10 times... This was because my best friend had a Ryan Philippe obsession.

Bring it On - This is the only role I've liked Kirsten Dunst in... It's just a light and funny movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Johnny Depp. 'Nuff said.

I also agree with all the 80s movie choices. I adore Molly Ringwald's movies and could watch them repeatedly... and I have! :D

harry potter 1 & 2

There a ton of movies that i could watch over and over... But without listing every single one (for now anyway) the two that come to mind right away are:

Ever After
This movie came out when i was 12 and i absolutly fell in love with it. It came out on video and my friend and i watched it literally 2 to 4 times a week for months. And it goes without saying i do know pretty much every line from it. Since then i've studied history quite a bit, and have discovered it's not accurate at all. ( ) But still can't help but love it.

10 Things I Hate About You
This also came out when i was 12 or 13. I've watched on video so many times. It's just one of the funnies movies. I know so many of the lines from this one too.

"But i'm sure you've thought of me naked. ;)"
"*gasp Is it that obvious? I want you. I need you. Oh baby, oh baby."
:rotfl:

Latley I've been watching Mallrats over and over.
lol.gif

I go through phases, and it kind of rotates. The rotation includes both Harry Potter movies, FOTR and TTT, Dazed and Confused, Detroit Rock City, and Empire Records.

I can't remember if I've already posted on this thread or not, but what the heck, I'll do it again.

There are a few movies that I will watch over and over again.
Sabrina (the original one with Audrey Hepburn)
Roman Holiday (one of my all-time favourites)
Bend It Like Beckham (though I can't seem to find my copy right now, it's driving me crazy)
While You Were Sleeping (it's just a feel-good movie)
Indiana Jones movies (basically because of my brothers)
and my childhood favourite which I still will watch is The Little Mermaid.

Quarterback Princess. I have seen this movie so many times, yet I find it so inspiring. :) Tami Maida was my role model and still is. I love every single minute of it. I grew up playing football so I found it easy to relate that way. I can't wait to watch it again.

I'm losing my ability to watch movies mora than three times, but there are some, like "The Neverending story" that I still can watch over and over without getting tired of them.
