Movies with moral messages that you feel are rammed down your throat

Many many many American films..............in fact, maybe them all :(

But seriously, all films have obviously got a message in them somewhere, but I'm talking about the ones that you feel like spewing up because they might as well spell it out to you.

Patronising movies in otherworRAB. :(

Every war movie.....the Americans won it and god help us all had they not been there

Yep...maybe true, but they sure make sure we know it

I have my own life to live, and certainly no time to waste it politicing about Iraq.

The subject isn't something I care about anymore. It's no different to hearing about a bomb blast in their country on the news "everyday".

Wonderful... Kudos to the terrorists. They killed some more innocent civilians. I wasn't one of them, nor was any of my family involved. Wonderful, that's all that matters to me.

Now time to tuck into a nice steak dinner. Far more important to my well being. ;)

I've never been one for empathy. Take that which ever way you want, I'm really not interested if I offend somebody if I say that. I have more interest in the current digital mediums on the market then I ever will bloody Iraq.

I mention it because already there is a film out about Iraq by Brian de Palma that is so patronising, it is unbelievable.

The war movies are a particular sore point with me as the Americans always come across as the heros and give little credence to any other country in their own heroics in the struggle for freedom.

I haven't watched a political based movie for a long time now.

I am not interested anymore in the slightest, I've seen enough.

It's the same reason I stopped following the TV show 24.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested.

In fact, I've been much the same as you for quite some time.

However, the more movies that I view, the more I feel that corruption, persuasion and manipulation of our minRAB are going on.......and it is the powers that be that are behind it.

I.e. those with the most money and power behind them to get their movies out there into our living rooms and where we are almost force fed to view unless we turn the telly off indefinitely:rolleyes:

Well, I'm already on that path. I don't watch TV.

I have a large selection of digital mediums and the Internet available to me 24/7.

TV broadcasting passed its sale by date a long time ago.

Indeed.

I watch more and more foreign movies all the time.

And their interpretations of the same storylines are enlightening.....or at least makes you question and ask if an alternative view is indeed possible. :)

Most recently, Blood Diamond could have done with the last 10 minutes being chopped IMO. The key points about the diamond industry and man's greed had already been made effectively an hour into the movie.

The Sound of Fury which was on TV last week it was as subtle as a brick but perhaps it's responsible journalism message is one Express newpapers should take notice of if they want to save themselves some money.
